Ruby Jane

I loved this book. Seriously, loved this book. I’m
still thinking about the romance between Ruby Jane and York. These two
characters were so well-developed, multi-dimensional, and flat out lovable.
Here’s just a quick summary of a few of the reasons why I think this story is unforgettable.
It's the literature romance of the century. This thing between
Ruby Jane and York has been building since book three – Ford, and it’s been
intense, steamy in a Christian way, and sacrificial. I’m not a person who
sees symbolism in literature, but I saw Jesus’ sacrificial love all through
this book, and it was beautiful.
It's loaded with suspense and action. If there's anything that
can be said about the entire Montana Marshalls series, it's every single book was
one roller coaster ride after another. Susan May Warren writes great romantic
suspense and the finale only showcases her incredible talent.
It's faith-filled. This is perhaps the element of the book that
touched me most. York, has a very dark past, and his struggle to reconcile his
past with the man he wants to be, forgiven by grace to be a new man, is gut
wrenching. I could feel his inner struggle and even identify with the desire to be
a better person. York’s story spoke to me.
This is the conclusion to the Montana Marshalls series and it doesn’t disappoint in any way except it’s the end. I enjoyed all five books and thought each
one got a little bit better, which isn’t usually what you find in a series. But
in the end, the books I loved the most were the three with Ruby Jane and York. They
are simply unforgettable characters.
I know all the ratings only allow five stars, but if I could
give it 100, I would.
Have you read the entire series? Which character was your favorite and why?
