LeaderShop by Dr. Rodger Dean Duncan
LeaderShop by Dr. Rodger Dean Duncan is a book filled with
conversations between Dr. Duncan and some of the world’s top management and
leadership gurus. The articles are interesting, but seem more like teasers so
you’ll want to read the interviewee’s book.
I think it's a good resource to help you decide if you want
to invest the time to read an entire book, but I don’t know that
it provides advice you can put into practice. I was intrigued by many of the
concepts outlined, but for real detail I would need to read the guru’s book.
Dr. Duncan intersperses commentary, which I found to be as interesting as the information presented by the experts. I'd say the book is informative and worth the time to read as long as you don't expect to walk away with a detailed how-to plan. If you want to implement any of the concepts covered, you'll need to do additional reading.
Have you read other books using this interview format? Do you find this type of book helpful?
